PRAYER ASSOCIATION FOR VOCATIONS
"The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few, therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest."
(Matthew 9:38)
OUR MISSION
The Prayer Association was established to support the community of religious Sisters, the Lovers of the Holy Cross of Los Angeles
WHO WE ARE
Our Prayer Association for Vocations began in 1986. At present, there are over a thousand members. Each group has a group leader who is a liaison with the Lovers of the Holy Cross. The headquarter is the Mother House of the Lovers of the Holy Cross in Gardena, California. - Every member of the Prayer Association prays daily for vocations. All the members pray the Our Father and meditate on Jesus Christ Crucified each day. - Each year, the Prayer Association has a special gathering to celebrate the feast of "Our Lady of Sorrows." At this annual event, all the members come together for prayer, sharing and developing ways to foster and promote religious vocations.
WHAT WE DO
- By a life of prayer, love, and sacrifice, the Prayer Association supports the mission of the Sisters in their work of evangelization. - We also work to foster vocations to religious life, inviting young women to respond to God's call from the Gospel: "The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so now ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest." (Matthew 9:38)
